High-Fire Stoneware Mana Hearth Ceramic Mug
$32 USD / Unit

A 420 ml wheel-cast stoneware vessel fired to 1240 °C with debossed directional gaming inputs.

High-temperature stoneware ceramic mugs keep warmth without commercial logos.

Most merchandise mugs are thin porcelain blanks wrapped in heat-transferred vinyl transfers that peel after three dishwasher cycles. We throw these mugs from dense iron-bearing stoneware clay, fire them in reduction kilns to vitrification, and finish them with a silk-matte feldspar glaze.

Built for quiet desk hours and extended campaign sessions, this mug features a subtle debossed directional thumb pad on the flank. It serves as an intuitive tactile anchor for your hand while reading tactical maps or typing without drawing attention from across the room.

$32 USD per mug
Catalog price basis: hand-cast stoneware clay, 420 ml volume, feldspathic mineral glaze, dishwasher and microwave safe.
Every mug rim is hand-beveled and verified for thermal wall thickness at our Denver studio on East 17th Avenue.
420 Milliliters

Substantial domestic capacity engineered to retain coffee and tea heat across long tabletop sessions.

Measured technical specifications

We measure every production run with dial calipers and gram scales to ensure balanced weight distribution and ergonomic grip comfort.

Dimension or Property Curated Specification Design Rationale
Liquid Volume 420 ml (14.2 fluid oz) Generous volume without requiring excessive desk space.
Clay Formulation Speckled stoneware clay with 8% fine grog Provides thermal insulation and structural resistance against thermal shock.
Firing Temperature Cone 6 reduction firing (1,240 °C / 2,264 °F) Fully vitrifies the clay body; zero porosity prevents liquid absorption.
Glaze Formulation Matte grey feldspathic mineral glaze (lead-free) Silky non-reflective tactile hand feel; does not scratch or leach minerals.
Dry Weight 460 grams (± 20 grams hand-thrown variance) Heft provides a stable desktop center of gravity that resists tipping.
Dimensions 88 mm diameter × 102 mm height Comfortably accommodates aeropress brews and standard drip cones.
Inquiry Price $32 USD each Anchored in our primary catalog benchmark of $10 to $35 for personal goods.
1240 Degrees Celsius

Vitrified at high heat so the ceramic body resists chipping and cleans cleanly in home dishwashers.

Denver studio curation and material validation

4 Careful Stages

Clay forming, bisque firing, mineral glaze dipping, and individual studio packaging.

How we craft and ship each stoneware piece

Each mug is crafted in small batches and inspected by hand. We reject automated mass manufacturing in favor of intentional craft processes.

Throwing & Debossing

Stoneware clay is wheel-thrown to calibrated wall thicknesses. Before leather-hard drying, the subtle directional pad motif is hand-stamped into the flank opposite the handle.

Kiln Vitrification

Mugs undergo a 900 °C bisque firing, are hand-dipped into raw feldspathic glaze slip, and are fired again at 1240 °C for 14 hours to fuse the glaze directly into the ironstone matrix.

Foot Wheel Polishing

Raw ceramic bases can scratch polished dining tables. We grind the unglazed contact ring of every mug across four grits of wet diamond abrasives until it feels as smooth as river stone.

Plastic-Free Box Packing

Each mug is nested in unbleached kraft honeycomb cushioning, boxed in rigid recycled cardboard, and labeled with our Denver studio lot number.

100 % Non-Porous

True stoneware that will not craze, stain from black tea, or absorb beverage odors over time.

Honest tradeoffs: what this mug is not

Because each mug is hand-thrown and glazed with natural mineral slips, slight color modulations from stone-grey to slate-blue occur naturally between kiln firings. If you require absolute machine uniformity where every piece is mathematically indistinguishable, our ceramics will not satisfy you.

Additionally, this is a hefty 460-gram piece. Those seeking featherweight bone china or paper-thin camping cups will find this mug too heavy for ultralight travel. It is made for desks, solid timber tables, and long residential evenings.
